How lucky and blessed are we to have been touched by Rosa Lee?
Don’t wait to share your feelings with those whom you love.
Be open, be vulnerable, let those you love know that you love them – and don’t be afraid to tell them why you love them, because it is in the “why” that all the magic happens.
Here is a beautiful poem written to Rosa Lee by her brother Herb Bernstein (father of Randy and Debbie Bernstein). You can tell it came straight from the heart, and for that reason, I am sharing it with you.
My Sister, My Best Friend

My sister is a very special angel,
She heals the sad and worried
with a smile and words of hope
That bring confidence and a brighter day.
No matter how many springtimes she has seen,
My sister has a happy way of remaining close
to her family, in thought, in heart, in deed,
and not to forget, spirit.
To me, Rosa Lee is a photograph
of a little girl running in from play,
smiling with joy, hugging me close,
And sharing a whispered “I love you Herb”
That’s the picture I’ll always carry in my heart.
We all know how very difficult it is to find a woman:
- Who loves life, and takes pride in herself
- Who has the love of her family, and the confidence and respect of her friends
- Who finds joy in the success and happiness of others or just laughs at her brother’s jokes
- Who can see beauty wherever she goes
- Who can laugh and cry, get angry and forgive
- Who can enjoy a challenge, and her husband, who gives so much
- Who always tries her best, and always does,
no matter what the inconvenience may be
And, my friends from far and near, that woman we all know and love is my precious sister, Rosa Lee
