Rosa Lee’s 93rd “Heavenly” Birthday

How hard is it to believe that it has been 2 years since mom’s last birthday on earth; that special day when so many of her family and friends left video and audio messages for her. Here is one from her website from her Rabbi Richard Steinberg.

As I reflect on the past two years, I still find it hard to believe that Rosa Lee Rothblatt is not just a phone call away. But, she absolutely lives on in our hearts and minds. I often look at her beautiful picture and talk to her and give her a virtual hug. I wonder what she is doing and what she has been experiencing.

In addition to what is going on in heaven, Mom is having a wonderful time watching her sweet, athletic, and very funny great-grandson Easton John Keizer-Lawrence (almost age 3) grow and experience the joys and wonders of life.

Mom is filled with love and is very proud as she watches Ciara and Kaileigh grow into loving, responsible and very fun parents to Easton.

And I’m sure she is “kvelling” watching her great-granddaughter Asata Rothblatt doing so well in college and being a part of Jewish life on campus.

Of course, her grandson Eli David Rothblatt becoming a Major in the U.S. Army is filling her heart with pride.

Mom’s great-granddaughter Justice Rothblatt is impressing her immensely with artistic creativity which she posts on social media.

Mom had a very special closeness and relationship with her granddaughter Rachel and is smiling broadly with much love watching Rachel progress in her career at The Irvine Company and enjoy her relationship with Riley, whom we’ve come to know and love; and Mom is saying, “I knew you could do it!”

Grandchildren Sunee, Gabriel and Jenesis are also bringing Mom joy, and her great-grandchildren Zion and Saturn continue to bring home very good grades which brightens Mom’s heart. Seeing the entire Rothblatt family altogether is what we all want to see!

And, to all of Mom’s friends who brought her so much enjoyment and laughter, she’s got her eyes on you too!

So, Happy 93rd Birthday Mom — you and Dad planted many seeds and now you get to continue reaping the joy!

We all love you more than you’ll ever know – your family and friends miss you and send you enough hugs to last to eternity!
Mom is happy to know that Greg and I, along with our dogs Daisy and Dolly, are happy and well-adjusted in our new home in Idaho.

I selected a short story about Values of Life and Death that was meaningful to Mom that you might find thought-provoking.
