Rosa Lee’s granddaughter, Rachel Berkowitz, shared this heartwarming eulogy on Facebook:
“My beautiful Grandma Rosa Lee passed away this morning at 8:12am. She was sleeping peacefully and I was holding her hand as she took her last breath.
I love her immensely and will miss her more than I can express in words. However, I know she is now free of all pain and suffering. She has joined my grandpa and family in heaven.
Grandma Rosa Lee was one of a kind – Authentic, Caring, Funny, and Thoughtful. Everyone she met instantly fell in love with her. I am so lucky to have had her in my life as she taught me so many important lessons and always made me laugh. She put others before herself and had the kindest, most gentle soul. I don’t recall her ever getting angry nor did she complain about anything despite overcoming so many hardships. She mastered the art of listening. When you spoke to her, she would immediately put you at ease and made you feel welcome and cared for.
Her smile lit up every room she entered. She is one truly classy lady and she will live forever in my heart.
I love you, Grandma. Rest In Peace, sweet angel.”
