Rosa Lee had a passion for love and romance, so it was quite fitting that she found a volunteer opportunity and also created her own business of being a Jewish Wedding Ceremony Coordinator.
Many of the couples that she worked with through her volunteer role with Congregation B’nai Tzedek, under the leadership of Rabbi Stephen Einstein, were of mixed religions, and were often converts to Judaism. This gave Rosa Lee an opportunity to teach them about the customs and traditions of the Jewish wedding ceremony. And, as she did this, she encircled the learning with counseling on love and romance. It was truly a “perfect marriage” of Rosa Lee’s passion, skill, knowledge, and her effervescent personality. Many of the couples continued to stay in touch with Rosa Lee many years after their marriage.
Here are a few of Rosa Lee’s writings that she would provide the couple as part of the preparations for the big wedding day. In fact, she would send the bride and the groom, both together and separately, weekly writings to help prepare them for Jewish married life.
